Frequently Asked Questions.

Whether you are about to embark on a complete custom home build or just have a small "honey-do" list you need tackled - you are bound to have questions to ask us about the process, payment structure and our credentials. So even though every job is unique, we thought it to be helpful to address a few commonly asked questions. If your question isn't answered here feel free to call or email us - we're happy to answer any and all questions. Our goal is to make you feel completely comfortable and confident all through your project and we find the more informed you are the more this is accomplished.

Q: How does the bidding process work?

A: Trademark offers free, no-obligation quotes to residential homeowners. Just give us a call or send an email and we?ll schedule a time that works with your schedule - mornings, afternoons, evenings and even weekends. The owner of our company, Phillip Pfleghardt, personally comes out and does every bid - you will not meet any high pressure salesman that hasn't a clue when it comes to construction. Since Phillip also oversees all projects, he will listen attentively to your project, ideas and overall vision and offer suggestions when necessary regarding coding or structural issues. For those embarking on a custom home, we have an architect who works hand in hand with Trademark available for a free consultation as well. Measurements and notes will be taken during the meeting to ensure that we don't need to come out additional times for missing data to give you the most accurate quote. An estimate/quotation will then be emailed or faxed to you for review within 2 business days most often. Once the quotation is accepted a formal contract will be drawn up for both parties to review and sign.

Q: Will I have to coordinate with and/or pay separate sub-contractors?

A: This is probably the biggest concern our clients have, especially on larger multi-specialty projects and custom homes. Trademark is proud to answer NO! You will be dealing directly with and only with Trademark and all payments go through Trademark. We have established relationships with many specialty trade contractors and/or companies that have proven themselves with our company throughout the years. These relationships enable us to coordinate all parts of your projects directly through Trademark to alleviate any headache on your part. No more cutting multiple checks to different companies, no more scheduling different companies for each part of your construction project . . . Trademark does it all! If you have a question or concern during any part of the process you make one call to us and it is handled.

Q: How is payment handled?

A: Small projects that are completed within a day are paid upon completion of the project. Projects that are expected to take 2 - 3 days are often contracted for payment of 50% upon start of the project and 50% upon completion. Larger projects including custom homes are split into phases or sections of work that are detailed out in our contract specifying what work will be completed before a payment is due. Our customers have said that they prefer this payment arrangement since they can watch the progress of work in relation to their monetary payout.

Q: How long will the project last?

A: We will give you an estimated time of completion. The true end date is always somewhat flexible due to elements of a job that are out of our control. This is especially true if there are special order products used or if there are change orders or additional work requested during the project. We do everything in our power to complete your project in a timely manner.

Q: How do we choose what fixtures and/or supplies we may want?

A: With established relationships with cabinet, carpet, tile, hardwood, granite, stamped concrete, plumbing & electrical fixtures and a variety of other suppliers, we make the selection process an enjoyable process. There are show rooms that you can visually see the materials to choose from and samples that we will bring directly to you depending on the project. Depending on your budget we will supply ample selections for you to select from all in your price range - no expensive surprises!

Q: What happens with debris and trash from the project?

A: Trademark disposes of all construction debris and trash. On larger projects a rollaway will most often be located at the job site during demolition phase and then removed once we are through with it. We take a lot of pride in keeping our worksites clean and organized and have established a policy of picking up the work area at the end of each work day with a thorough cleaning every Friday afternoon.

Q: What kinds of warranties are offered on material and workmanship?

A: Depending on the product you choose, the manufacturers warranty will apply. All labor and workmanship is warranted directly with Trademark for one calendar year from the project completion date. If you have any concerns or find anything not to your satisfaction just give us a call and we will schedule a time to come address it. Our goal is to have you completely satisfied with our work.
